Is Connect App a replacement for Citrix or Microsoft RDS?
Yes. Connect App publishes Windows desktops and applications to remote users, much like Citrix or Remote Desktop Services. It is fully compliant with the RDP protocol, works with your existing network, and does not require RDS CALs.
Do I pay a yearly subscription?
No. Connect App licences are perpetual: you buy once and the licence never expires. You choose an edition based on the features you need, and pay for concurrent users rather than named users.
Which Windows versions does Connect App run on?
Connect App can be installed on Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11 (Pro editions) and on Windows Server 2008 through 2019, in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
Can users connect from a browser, iPad or Android phone?
Yes, with the Web & Mobile, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus editions. Users open the HTML5 web portal in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge and start their applications without installing any plug-in or mobile app.
How do remote users print?
The Universal Printer converts each print job to a PDF and sends it through the session to the user's own computer, where it prints on their local printer. No printer drivers need to be installed on the server.
How long does deployment take?
A typical Web Access setup can be installed, configured and deployed in less than a day. Our engineers help with sizing, installation and go-live, and offer pre-sales and post-sales support.
